How to order a glass headstone?
Firstly, have a look through the selection of our ready-made, bespoke and family memorial designs and think about what appeals to you more. Then decide which technique – layered (e.g. Cross) or cast glass (e.g. Ice), you find more appealing. You will find detailed information on ordering all types of Glasstone memorials below. We assure that each Glasstone glass headstone is hand-made and therefore unique. Even amongst ready-made designs, there are no two identical exemplars! Each will have their specific nuances, made by our craftsmen with hands and tools.
Ordering a ready-made design
Our ready-made designs have stories behind them and nearly all may be personalized by changing the colour of the glass, adding engravement on the side, adding granite sides or choosing a stainless steel insert as both – an aid for easier installation and aesthetic finishing touch.
To order a ready-made headstone, please, fill in the “Request a proposal” form available on the page of the design you have chosen. Please, fill in as many details as possible – it will greatly help us in making the best offer for you! We will get back to you via your provided e-mail address as soon as we can.
Alternatively, email us at firstname.lastname@example.org with the following details: your name; the name of your chosen design; country and city for delivery; city and name of the cemetery where the headstone will be installed at; as well as any specific requests and questions you have.
Ordering a bespoke glass headstone or sculptural memorial
If you wish to make the memorial even more personal, we offer the creation of a bespoke design. The most important in the development of a bespoke design is the story or the message you want to convey with the memorial. Your ideas regarding the shape, size, colour and other explicit details, that you think would beautifully help in conveying your message, are also important.
Fill in the “Request a proposal” form next to the bespoke design you like, adding other 1-3 memorial designs you like from the list. We will look through your request and get back to you via your provided e-mail address as in within a day!
Alternatively, email us at email@example.com with the following details: your name, the name of the design, country and city for delivery, city and name of the cemetery where the headstone would be installed, any special requests and questions you have.
Step by step process of ordering a bespoke headstone.
As mentioned earlier, glass artist Ernest Vitin will craft the bespoke memorial design based on your story, your aesthetic preferences – ideas about the shape, size and colour, and your budget. Therefore, think about and let us know of:
- The story or the message you want to communicate through the memorial.
- Your aesthetic preferences – ideas about the shape, size and colour
- Your budget for the whole project and/or the glass memorial
- Any special requirements the cemetery has so that we can take these into account and develop the design accordingly
- Prepare 2 – 4 photographs of the commemoration site and, if possible, let us know how the sun shines on the place.
Within approximately ten days of confirming all the necessary details with you, the artist shall prepare a 3D visualisation of the proposed design(s) based on your wishes and requirements. You may then choose one of the designs or request desired amendments. Once the design is confirmed, we shall start working on its development – turning it into a personal commemorative monument for your beloved one or your family.
We shall keep you informed of the progress and send pictures for confirmation of the stacked glass memorial before the final glueing stage.
The average time necessary for the production of a ready-made design glass headstone is 4/5 weeks. For a custom design, the production time starts from 7/8 weeks, after confirmation of the visualisation. Depending on the quantity of ongoing work, the waiting time may be significantly longer, especially in peak season.
